ABOUT KELLY
I’m here to help you tap into the deep wisdom of your body and recover a sense of hope, joy, and authentic energy.
ABOUT KELLY
I’m a body-centered, mindfulness-based psychotherapist with more than 20 years of experience helping people to recover their true essence.
Through listening closely to our bodies, we can release rigid patterns and learn new, more satisfying ways to navigate life. Our bodies offer a portal to an expanded sense of ourselves—and a pathway to more love, joy and hope.
My practice helps heal past traumas, transform destructive habits, and ease life transitions. It’s an approach that works, and I’m deeply grateful that I can offer it.
I earned my master’s degree in whole systems counseling from Bastyr University and am a licensed mental health counselor in Washington state. I have been a nationally certified sex therapist since 2005 (American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors, and Therapists-AASECT).
KELLY L. ROSS, MA, LMHC
I love to explore our beautiful Pacific Northwest. When I’m not hiking the trails, I’m most likely in the kitchen, experimenting with plant-based cooking, or in the back yard, fine-tuning my hula hoop skills.

APPROACH
Body-Centered | Mindfulness-Based
Based in West Seattle, I offer online therapy as well as in-person sessions.
I practice Hakomi psychotherapy, in which I support you to bring kind attention to the present moment. Instead of just discussing the thoughts in your head or repeating old story lines, we focus on the sensations arising in your body. Together, we tune into what’s happening in real time: Is your throat tight? Is there a pit in your stomach? A shift in your heart rate? Heat rising in your neck? These habitual responses often reveal restrictive patterns and unconscious beliefs that hold you back.
My role is to gently guide you in self-exploration and equip you with the tools to continue the work on your own. Together, we’ll conduct kind experiments to free you to experience more hope, joy and love.
Who I work with
I support people who are struggling with:
- depression
- anxiety
- recovery issues
- sexual health issues, including difficulties with intimacy; low sexual self-esteem; obsessive, compulsive, and addictive behaviors
My role is to gently guide you in self-exploration and equip you with the tools to continue the work on your own. Together, we’ll conduct kind experiments to free you to experience more hope, joy and love.

“Attention to the human body brings healing and regeneration. Through awareness of the body
we remember who we really are.”

Focused presence, deep healing
You might be feeling skeptical about how a body-centered approach plays out in a virtual environment.
To be honest, so was I. I even worried that I’d have to close my practice.
But, after shifting to online sessions in March 2020, I have been delighted to discover the effectiveness of this approach.
Freed from distractions, I’m even more sharply attuned to the signals that your body sends out as we work together. And, because you’re practicing new skills and deeper self-awareness in a familiar, at-home setting, your sense of self-efficacy can grow even more quickly.
As a therapist with more than two decades’ experience, I am relieved and amazed that so much healing can happen online—or I wouldn’t do it.

Simple Practice

GETTING STARTED
The first step is to book a free 15-minute telephone consultation to see if we’re a good fit. You
can book a time here.
A Good Faith Estimate of costs (GFE) is available upon request or scheduling.
$250 per 55-minute session for Individuals, $320 for Relationships.
I do not accept insurance, but I’m happy to give you a detailed receipt to submit to your insurer for out-of-network reimbursement.
If you can’t make your scheduled therapy appointment, please give me at least 48 hours’ notice. If you cancel less than 48 hours before your appointment, you will be required to pay the full cost of the session.
Expect to discover relief and insights at your very first session. But there’s no one-size-fits all formula for healing. The duration of therapy depends greatly on the number and depth of issues that you’d like to address. I am flexible about the number of sessions so that therapy can work with your lifestyle and schedule.
